My kind of town...

Well, it looks like I am going to be staying in Chicago for a little while because my driver is going to Denmark, close to where I was built...So I am going to hang out here in Chicago for a little while.

I found a nice spot right out front of my drivers friends place, but even before he left, it started to snow out!!

Headed north

Well, I'm heading north once again, up to chicago for few days. My driver hasn't told me where we are going after that, but we have to be going somewhere...since I've been packed up like this!!

I am not sure what's in the box, but it must be important because I am pretty sure I brought it all the way here from Vermont!

Merry Christmas!!

It was a great holiday up north, even if I didn't even get my picture taken with my old friends Michael and Harmon, although they got to take some pictures in the photo booth. I guess I will get some the next time I go out to see them!!

Happy New Year!
Red Swede

Get a grip!!

Boy was I ever glad that my driver got snow tires! Look at how the whole road is covered in snow, but I didn't have any kind of a problem even though I think my driver wanted to go even faster than we went.

You can see a close up here of my treads...there's no stopping me!!

Yuck...

Even though you are going to get dirty right after you leave, it's as important to clean the car like you brush your teeth--do it as often as you can. I'm glad my driver has this attitude!! It was snowy and messy the whole way up and I had great traction, but i needed a cleaning, so my driver got some imported car washers to clean me up!!

Finally...Victor!!

I got to meet the newest passenger after a long drive. But he was tired himself because he'd been traveling for 12 hours already! He seemed as confused, but I guess he has an excuse!! His daddy was tired, too, but sounded like he was eager to get back to camp...and so was I!

Long day of driving

So after I got my new roof rack and car top carrier, it was "push on east" for me and my driver, who went right by New York City on his way into Connecticut, where I guess he used to live. It was night time, but we had to go over bridges and through tunnels to get there, almost just like the song!

New addition

So to be ready to carry a new small little package named Victor, I needed to have as much room as possible and be as safe as possible. That's why I got the snow shoes for the safety, and to get all of little Victors big bags in the car...I needed some more space!!

So I stopped at my drivers' parents place and said Hi to the other two Saabs there. They were jealous that I was already heading to Vermont, although the station wagon was about to leave the next day. But I couldn't believe what happened next...I was Stuffed Full! of car top carrier. This really didn't make any sense to me....for a while...

But soon enough, it made sense, because after we stopped to get some new parts-a roof rack that I get to keep forever now! My driver pulled the car top carrier out (which was good because I don't think he could see out the right side of the car!!) and put it on my new roof rack.

Now...I was ready to go pick up Victor!!

Miles(stone) moment

Well, I know everyone says I still look really young, but I have to admit that it makes me feel a little old to be getting up there on the miles! At least I have a clean bill of health!!

I am not sure where I was when I turned 90...but my driver sure took enough pictures of it! Geesh. Heres one:

Ready to Rock!

CB-Radio: Check
Gas tanked up: Check
New Snow TIres: Check

....I'm ready to go...first, though... a couple of stops....

New Shoes!!

I am heading East soon, and to be extra-ready, I got new snow tires that will help me when it snows! I can't wait to get them on and try them out!

There we go...now I look like I am ready for anything, just like my East-coast friends! Now it's off to Vermont!!
